Progressive Community Network is a Medicaid certified enterprise in the state of Iowa and offers daily supported community living services. Our mission is to enable individuals with intellectual disabilities or mental illness to thrive in the least restrictive settings while upholding their dignity and respect. We achieve this through our dedicated professionals that we work closely with where we prioritize individual skill development, education in daily living, medication management, safety, social skills, community engagement, and more.

Colin B.
Founder & CEO
Colin is a graduate of Iowa State University with a degree in Human Services and over 15 years of experience supporting individuals with special needs.
Raised in a home that welcomed people of all abilities, Colin developed a deep-rooted passion for inclusion and community. He now lives in Adel with his four children, where family time remains a top priority.
In his free time, Colin enjoys cooking, fishing, golfing with friends, and cheering on his favorite sports teams. His compassion, lived experience, and dedication continue to drive his advocacy and service in the human services field.

Stephanie B.
Intake & Referral Coordinator
Stephanie, a Norwalk, Iowa native, brings over 20 years of experience in the human services field. A 2005 graduate of Simpson College with a degree in psychology, Stephanie has dedicated her career to supporting individuals in achieving meaningful life goals, often helping people realize their potential in ways they hadn’t imagined possible.
Stephanie’s approach is guided by her personable, professional demeanor, as well as her enthusiasm for building strong, supportive relationships. She values time with her family, enjoys traveling, and is known for her warm sense of humor. Stephanie played soccer from a young age and continued at the collegiate level during her time at Simpson.
Now residing in West Des Moines, Stephanie shares her home with her wife and their dog, Armani.

Lisa C.
Host Home Program Manager
Lisa is a compassionate individual who grew up in Adel and graduated from ADM High School in 2010. She began her career in childcare and then transitioned to mental health advocacy for supported workers. For the past four years, Lisa has been dedicated to supporting individuals with mental health diagnoses and intellectual disabilities in supported employment. Prior to this, she worked in residential care since 2016.
Lisa loves spending time with her family. She is a proud sports mom, enjoying watching her sons play baseball and work on their 4H projects. She also enjoys camping and hosting events on her acreage, where she lives with her family and her dogs.

Megan F.
Host Home Coordinator
Megan proudly graduated from the University of Iowa, where she earned her Bachelor’s degree in Social Work. Her warm and compassionate nature shines through in everything she does, as she is deeply committed to helping others.
When she’s not making a difference in the lives of those around her, Megan cherishes her time spent with family, engaging in creative crafts, tackling home projects, and indulging in her love for baking. She and her twin sister share a delightful hobby of cookie decorating, drawing on their rich background in cake decorating. With a close-knit family that means the world to her, Megan’s weekends are always filled with joy, laughter, and a flurry of activities.

Ashley S.
Host Home Coordinator
Ashley has over two years of experience in the disability support and services, she has developed a deep passion for supporting individuals and helping them thrive. She loves building strong connections and is excited to bring her dedication and enthusiasm to this new role.
When she’s not working, Ashley enjoys spending quality time with family and friends, cheering on her favorite sports teams, and unwinding with her favorite shows. She’s looking forward to making a positive impact at PCN and is grateful to be part of such a compassionate and driven team!

Megan K.
Host Home Coordinator
Megan grew up in Northeast Iowa before attending the University of Northern Iowa, where she earned a Bachelor’s Degree in Family Services with a minor in Mental Health in 2021. After graduating, she moved to Des Moines and began her career as a Day Habilitation Specialist at ChildServe. Seeking greater responsibilities and opportunities for growth, she found her way to PCN.
Megan’s favorite aspect of working in this field is the relationships she builds—not only with her coworkers but also with her clients. She finds joy in seeing growth and personalities shine through the work she does each day. In her free time, she enjoys spending time outdoors, reading on her Kindle, and binge-watching TV shows with her husband. Her favorite show is One Tree Hill.

Jenea V.
Community Engagement Coordinator
Jenea, originally from Eastern Iowa, made significant strides in the banking sector, establishing herself as a skilled and dedicated professional. After a successful career, she transitioned to a new chapter, dedicating three years to being a stay-at-home parent, focusing on her family and personal growth.
Currently, Jenea resides in West Des Moines with her supportive husband, their delightful daughter, and a lively household that includes three cats and a dog. She is an active and enthusiastic member of the Valley Junction community, participating in various local events and initiatives.
In her free time, Jenea enjoys reading, photography, web design, and creating graphic art.

Dani W.
Quality Improvement Officer
Dani, a native of Des Moines, brings a strong background in early childhood education and over a decade of experience in the ICF-ID/HCBS fields. She currently resides in Ankeny with her wife and children.
Outside of work, Dani is often busy playing chauffeur for her kids, grilling, or using her Blackstone to prepare delicious meals for her family. She also serves on the board of her local wrestling club, contributing her time and expertise to the community.
As the Quality Improvement Officer at Progressive Community Network, Dani’s extensive knowledge and experience are invaluable assets to the organization.

Sherri C.
Administrative Assistant
Sherri brings nearly two decades of experience in Iowa’s public education system, with a strong focus on Special Education and human services. A former AEA professional, she also has several years of experience in ICF-ID/HCBS settings, offering valuable insight and resources to PCN.
With degrees in English and Wildlife Ecology, Sherri values compassion, communication, and equality in her work. She enjoys reading, writing, music, research, and empowering others to self-advocate and connect with their communities.
Sherri is a proud mom of three adult sons and currently lives in West Des Moines with her cat, Cinnamon. She looks forward to supporting PCN’s mission and making a meaningful impact.

Devin D.
Contract & Onboarding Specialist
Devin is originally from the Twin Cities region, but has called Des Moines home for most of his life.
Since earning his Bachelor’s degree in Family Services from the University of Northern Iowa in 2021, Devin has worked in the human services field across Cedar Falls, Waterloo, and Des Moines. After returning to Des Moines a few years ago, he purchased a home and continued his work in Altoona before joining PCN’s team in Clive.
With valuable experience in the field and a strong willingness to learn and adapt, Devin is committed to making a positive impact at PCN. He looks forward to connecting with staff, contractors, and the people we support as he steps into this role.

Jacob D.
Legal Professional
Jacob, originally from Adel, Iowa, is an alum of ADM High School and Iowa State University, where he studied Political Science. He then graduated from The University of Iowa College of Law and worked as a law clerk for the Fifth Judicial Circuit.
In his free time, he enjoys being at home with his dog, Ember, and family, as well as torturing others with his guitar playing. He’s a huge sports fan, collegiate and professional. As he is an alum of the two major in-state universities, he has the luxury of rooting in earnest for either Iowa or Iowa State. That said, he is and always will be a Cyclone. If Iowa lost every game in every sport each year, Jacob would be satisfied.

Adam G.
Documentation Specialist
Adam, a native of Des Moines, has a background in electrical manufacturing. When not at work, he dedicates his time to pursuing a degree in Industrial Technology at Iowa State University.
Actively engaged in the Valley Junction Community, his leisure activities include studying, gardening, and brewing wine. At home, he cherishes his feline companion, Chyna.
